The first official airsoft exclusive field in North Central Texas was opened in Fort Worth by Greg and two other partners. Steven and Jay were frequent players there. After about two months, Jay took over as the field manager and started running scenarios every weekend. Steven consulted on games and played a huge part in the ops and events. Greg was involved in the operational side of the business. In February of 2013, the lease was terminated when the property sold to a tow truck company. The sudden closure left a giant hole in the North Central Texas airsoft community. With the loss of this great facility and the mounting pressure to find and open a new field, the original 3 business partners were not able to fulfil the need and the company was put to rest.
Working a lead provided by a player, Greg, Jay, and Steven discovered a vacant soup manufacturing facility in Hillsboro, Texas. These three teamed up and signed the lease. D14 Airsoft was born. We held two large operations and many weekend skirmishes. Towards the end of the lease, the city staff changed and the new city employee no longer allowed us to stay in the facility without putting in new electricity, running water, and a sprinkler system. Unfortunately, that wasn't in the realm of possibilities. D14 Airsoft finished out the lease with outdoor games until, once again, the doors closed for another airsoft field.
Determined to provide airsoft games that the local community craved, D14 Airsoft secured an abandoned rock quarry to put on Operation Imposing Law. The terrain was perfect, but there were no structures available. D14 Airsoft needed to adapt so we constructed 10 modular buildings just for this event.
After Operation Imposing Law, the need to open a permanent airsoft field in North Texas was more apparent than ever. We continued to pursue every possible option for the players who stuck with us and believed in our commitment to grow the North Texas airsoft community.

On December 28th, 2013, D14 Airsoft overcame the obstacles in our path and purchased nearly 40 acres in Denton County. Our first event at the new field was our Winter Swap Meet and the community response was overwhelming! We rode that wave of excitement into 2014, the year of D14 Airsoft.
Since our opening, the field has expanded dramatically to include 80+ buildings with our largest at 6,000 square feet. We have vehicles, 2 airplanes, and a large trench system.

We have hit many milestones thanks to our amazing community of players and sponsors. With the help of Airsoft GI, we held the first event in Texas to reach 500+ players. Just recently, we hit that mark again with our Winter Swap Meet and Anniversary Game. We've even held a breach and clear class taught by a Miami SWAT officer. Currently, we average over 200 players when the weather is nice! We look forward to what the future holds for D14 Airsoft and the North Texas Airsoft Community.
